HEATH talk to YFM about their essential Summer tracks
Following the release of their E.P. ‘June’, the boys from HEATH have revealed their Top 5 essential Summer tracks. Take a look below to see which tracks Rory, Sam & Tom have chosen…
1 // Harry Belafonte – Jump In The Line
Rory: This song is the aural manifestation of summer. If you don’t agree you’ve obviously never heard it.
2 // Mark Knight – Man With The Red Face
Tom: This to me is and will always be my festival nostalgia track. Resembles the hypnotic darkness of early AM zombie festival vibes.
3 // Gunship – Tech Noir
Rory: Driving through Liverpool in the sun with the windows down and this at full volume to test our recently installed “in-flight sound system” was one of our tour highlights. Well, it was one of mine anyway…
4 // Salt Ashes – Save It
Sam: Just discovered this tune from a fellow Brighton artist. It’s a bit more clubby than my usual taste, but the delayed synths and bouncy bass feels refreshing, rather than cliché. And the power vocals… Jam.
5 // Friendly Fires – Hurting
Sam: The perfect amount of trancy verses and big hands in the air chorus! It’s just begging for sunglasses. Heard this live in a field in Wales and it was sublime.
