Album of the Week goes to PVRIS with ‘White Noise’
Good morning! It’s mid week and it’s time for ‘Album of the Week’. For those of you who’ve not read one of my ‘Album of the Week’ posts before, it’s simple really. Each week I talk you through an album I’ve been listening to a lot that week. It may not be recent, in fact it’s more than likely to be an old album, but it’ll be a good album nonetheless.
This week PVRIS has been awarded ‘Album of the Week’, with their debut album ‘White Noise‘. The album was originally released back in October 2014 but only really took off last year. I first discovered PVRIS through my other half who introduced me to them, and I’m so glad he did. It went something like this ‘Oh you like Paramore? Have you heard of PVRIS? You’ll love them!‘ Honestly, he was right. I love Paramore and I now equally love PVRIS.
The American rock trio – Lyndsey Gunnulfsen, Alex Babinski, and Brian MacDonald – have excelled to fame over the last 12 months, especially over here in the UK. This new found fame has seen them go on to perform on Jimmy Kemmel Live, support Fall Out Boy on their Wintour Tour and announce their very own headline UK & European Tour in early 2016. I have tickets to their London show, so expect a post-show review!
Personally, my favourite tracks from the album are ‘St. Patrick‘, ‘Fire‘and ‘Mirrors‘. The entire album is pretty awesome to be honest and whenever I listen to it I find it hard not to sing along. As much I love listening to this on my morning commute through my headphones, it’s a whole lot better being blared out in the car. I feel it’s essential to sing your heart out every now and again and trust me, this album is made for that.
